The Santa Monica is pearl-knit virgin lambs wool with a deep, cyclist front-zip that when pulled down, allows the oversize collar to drape casually, and when zipped up, becomes an extended shirt collar. The waist and sleeves are vented; and at the shoulder, the knit forms what looks like a slot-seam, a fashion feature long characteristic of Robert Comstock and best defined as two parallel, partially separated fell-seems. Not to become lost in the details of its construction, the Santa Monica is a free-spirited, lightweight, comfortable sweater to throw on over a pair of shorts or jeans and to coordinate successfully with various other articles of like-minded luxury.
